East Yorkton
Neighbourhood Guide
This area can be confusing to some, especially if they are new to the city. The neighbourhood of East Yorkton actually covers 3 different sections on the East side. This is because the specifically named neighbourhoods on the East Side (Heritage Heights, Weinmaster Parka and Riverside Grove) segment the East side into awkward sections. For the sake of easy understanding, each section will be referred to by direction. The Northern portion (section) of this neighbourhood houses Yorkton's latest builds. These homes are incredible family homes, often in the $320,000 - $600,000 price range. The Central portion is sandwiched between the Parkland Mall and Darlington Street East. There are multi-family dwellings, senior housing complexes, single-family homes and apartments throughout - some available to own and most available to rent. This area is in the more affordable $150,000 - $250,000 price range, though there are some lavish new builds. The Southern portion is located in an often forgotten about area. Due to its proximity to commercial businesses and city limits, people tend to overlook the houses here. However, these homes are both affordable and conveniently located from one's place of work! Plus, your backyard can overlook fields and farmland. It's like rural living, but with all the benefits of the city!
